The Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA) operates and maintains the State Water System and the State Sanitary Sewer System for the service of citizens.
The sanitary lines of the Puerto Nuevo Regional Sewer Plant (PRAS Puerto Nuevo) transport waste water from various sectors of several municipalities in the metropolitan area. The AAA has operational brigades that provide maintenance to the health system focused on preventing and reducing the incidence of overflows in sanitary lines.
